Payload #9621 Rookie Robotics Team Seeks Funding

Donation protected
UPDATE: We completed our first district event at Centennial playing in the semi finals, it was absolutely amazing. This weekend March 16 & 17 we’re competing at our local Durham College. We are hoping to qualify for provincials April 3-6th that means we need to raise $4,000 by April 1st to cover our registration fee. If we do not qualify this year the funds will go towards next seasons fees and build. We thank all those that have given so far, any amount would be greatly appreciated by the team. Thank you for all the love and support in our rookie season ♥️

We are a Durham Region community-based FRC Robotics Team (Payload #9621) currently in our rookie year. With a team of 7 members and 3 mentors spanning grades 9-12, we aspire to grow our team for the future. In our inaugural year we began with a single grant using it to establish our team's foundation.

As rookies, we were invited to the STEMley Cup, an off-season event hosted by other teams in November. Despite our lack of prior robot-building experience, we were graciously assigned to Team 4039 – Makeshift. Our introduction to First Robotics has been overwhelmingly positive, emphasizing gracious professionalism and coopertition. In an exciting turn of events, we won 1st place in the finals with our winning alliance and were honored with the Imagery award for our team's choice of Canadian hockey jerseys.

Now, as we gear up for the upcoming season's game Crescendo, inspired by celebrity superstar will.i.am, we seek support in funding our program's future. Building a new robot each year is a costly endeavor, and with the recent Kick Off event unveiling this year's gameplay, we are eager to purchase the remaining parts necessary to complete our robot.

Our district events are just weeks away on March 8th & 15th, and we are thrilled to make a strong impact and compete at a high level. We express our gratitude for your time and potential community support, which will play a crucial role in shaping our robotics journey.
