Healthy Teeth, a Lasting Smile
Donation protected
To launch its operations, the first campaign of Paylk/Փայլք will be named “Healthy Teeth, a Lasting Smile.”
The purpose of Paylk’s “Healthy Teeth, a Lasting Smile” campaign is to: educate the youth in Armenia about the importance of oral hygiene, provide the underprivileged with the means to take care of their own teeth, and implement steps to teach kids how to keep their teeth healthy. The volunteers will consist of anyone willing to devote their time and effort to accomplishing the goals of this mission, from ages 16 and up. Not only will the “healthy teeth, a lasting smile” campaign educate the Armenian community-outside of Yerevan-but also improve their living standards and health.
This campaign will be run mainly through volunteers in the diaspora, willing to organize missions to Armenia once a year, to conduct dental cleaning procedures that do not require the expertise of a dentist/physician. Although the fieldwork taking place in Armenia will not require a dentist or physician the mission plan will be devised and approved by a dentist from the USA. The volunteers will be given a thorough set of instructions and guidelines to follow in order to accurately educate the public on dental hygiene and how to administer fluoride treatments.
The effect of this campaign should leave a positive impact on the communities it volunteers its services to. The goal of this campaign is to make cleaning teeth an important part of maintaining good health within children and adults in rural parts of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. The campaign will continue to work even after its first mission , to spread and to educate how integral oral health care is to the human body.
This campaign, above all else, reiterates the entire purpose of this organization. Everyone deserves to live healthily in order to be the best they can be, because everyone truly does deserve a lasting smile.
