Paylen’s Cancer Journey

we sincerely hoped that we would never have to set up a go fund me page for our special mate Paylen.

 

In 2020 paylen was healthy, happy and an all round good bloke. He loved watching the footy with his mates and spending time with his loving girlfriend. 

 

At 25 years old a sore stomach led to a trip to hospital, which led to a trip to oncology, which led to a diagnosis of small blue cell tumour.

 

This is a rare, aggressive cancer.

 

He has battled through 2 rounds of chemo, immunotherapy and radiation - so far.

 

His first round of chemo was 3 months, the second lasting 8 months. He is currently tackling radiation.

 

The chances of getting this cancer is 0.2-0.76 in a million.

 

All our hearts break watching him endure his treatments. But he is stoic and has never complained, not once.

 

Due to the aggressiveness of his treatment he has not been able to return to work as a chippy and has been supported by his girlfriend - who works in disability support. He has relied on savings thus far however his bank account is running dry.

 

There is currently no cure for his cancer and we don’t know what the future holds.

We are hoping to take some financial burden off his hands and to help him focus on his treatment.

We would also love to see Paylen and his girlfriend spend some real quality time together - they are a true match and have a beautiful relationship.
