Paying tribute to Roxana Sanchez
Hello, my name is Yahaira and I am fundraising for my sister's hospital and funeral expenses. She passed away 05/08/2021 at 7:28 a.m. in Orlando, Fl. Leaving behind her husband Douglas Mejia of 15 years, and two kids, Edward (11) and Antonio (8). A selfless, most caring person that I know who made everyone feel they are part of her family. If you met or just talk to her even once you would know what I'm talking about. She was my rock and sounding board for everything. She had an infectious smile, and always had the best advice. She changed our lives and helped us out whenever she could. She was senselessly shot and killed on her driveway while her husband and kids were sound asleep. These cowards did not think how it would severely impact her life and those around her. They just killed her without thinking leaving two small kids without a loving and caring mother, a husband without the love of his life, sisters without the glue that holds the family together, and the best daughter a parent could have. Edward and Antonio would not have their mother for major events in their life. They would not have a mother and son dance at school. They won't have their mom walk them down the aisle on their wedding day. I made a vow to take care of her kids if anything happens. I will always be there for them. I would keep her memories alive and remember my ever-loving sister. This unexpected loss is still very difficult to process. The perpetrators are still out there. Dejando atrás a su esposo Douglas Mejía de 15 años de matrimonio, con dos hijos, Edward (11) y Antonio (8). Una persona desinteresada y cariñosa que he conozco. Ella siempre té hacia sentir como parte de su familia. Si la conociste por añoso simplemente hablaras con ella una sola vez, te dabas cuenta de lo que estoy hablando. Ella fue mi roca y siempre contaba con ella para todo. Tenía una sonrisa contagiosa y siempre tenía los mejores consejos. Ella cambió nuestras vidas y nos ayudó siempre que pudo. Le dispararon sin sentido y la mataron a la entrada de su casa mientras su esposo e hijos dormían profundamente. Estos cobardes no pensaron en cómo afectaría severamente su vida y la de quienes la rodeaban. Simplemente la mataron sin pensar que dejaban a dos niños pequeños sin una madre cariñosa, un esposo sin el amor de su vida, hermanas sin el pegamento que mantiene unida a la familia y la mejor hija que un padre podría tener. Edward y Antonio no tendrían a su madre para los eventos importantes de su vida. Ellos no tendrán madre e hijo baile en la escuela. Su madre no los acompañara por el pasillo el día de su boda. Yo le hice la promesa de cuidar a sus hijos si pasaba algo. Siempre estaré ahí para ellos y mantendré vivos sus recuerdos y recordaría a mi siempre amada hermana.
