Hi, my name is Patricia Bautista, and I'm the sister of Patrick Fabregas. (Some of you may remember him as "Bubba," "Pat," or "Botchok."). Patrick suffered a massive stroke in the brain stem almost a week ago today and, unfortunately, passed away from complications. Patrick gained his angel wings on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. He was 45 years old.

Patrick was a loving, kind, and generous man who touched the lives of those he encountered. Patrick loved every one of his friends and family and enjoyed spending time with them. He took care of them in his way -- whether it be taking my Dad out to breakfast every weekend or taking him to the casino, providing a listening ear to a friend in need, or bonding with his nieces, nephews, and godchildren through visits or outings.

Patrick was a God-fearing man who served Him by living his life as a man of God. He attended Calvary Chapel Signal Hill and was always willing to share his story and his love of God with others.

Patrick loved life and was the biggest sports fan. He enjoyed many sports and was loyal to his favorite sports teams (LA Lakers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and LA Rams, to name a few). Patrick loved collecting anything related to his favorite players -- such as his unique collection of Nike Air Jordans or NBA jerseys. He also loved traveling (he especially loved visiting the Bay Area and New York City), and I'm thankful he was my continental travel buddy.

Patrick's passing was unexpected. He left us too soon. We had prayed that Patrick would be granted a full recovery, but we are thankful that God made his plans for Patrick clear. My family and I are at peace knowing that God's will for his good and faithful servant was done and that Patrick is now in heaven with his Mom, Ron Sarana (one of Patrick's best friends), and friends and family who have gone before us. Please continue to keep my Dad and my family in your prayers.

Many of you had asked about how to donate in honor of Patrick. This fundraiser was created to answer that request. Funds raised will go toward medical expenses and funeral expenses for Patrick.
