Paying tribute to Matthew Holmberg

Hello. My name is Halie, and I am raising funds to assist my best friend, Jennifer Holmberg, in covering funeral expenses and other unexpected costs due to the tragic death of her firstborn child.

In the early morning hours of August 6th, 2022, Jennifer tragically lost her 16-year-old son, Matthew Holmberg, after he lost his battle with depression. Matthew was a bright, funny, and sweet boy and is loved beyond words. Our hearts are broken to have lost such a wonderful son, brother, and friend.

During this time, Jennifer needs our help and support. Jennifer is an amazing person who is always willing to help others in their time of need. She is enduring unimaginable pain and will not be able to work as she grieves and plans Matthews's funeral in Washington. We want to give Matthew the funeral he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes. Donations will be used towards funeral services and cremation, Jennifer's travel expenses between Montana and Washington, and to help her provide for Matthews's younger siblings, Elysia and Gavin, who will return to school in a few short weeks. They will need school supplies, and the family will have other day-to-day expenses, in addition to their household bills.
