Paying Tribute to Matthew Cole

Matthew David Cole passed on October 21st, leaving behind his wife, Abigail, and his 5 year old son, Garrett.
Matthew joined the Tanium Federal TAM team in July of 2018, enriched the team’s knowledge as a Comply SME, and served with ESO. He was a mentor to new Tanium team members, a hero to his customers, and when the call came for help, he was there with a big smile and helping hands. Prior to Tanium, Matthew served in the US Air Force as a Computer Technician, and continued to support the nation’s security working with the DoD and Department of State in places like Afghanistan, eventually becoming a Senior Premier Field Engineer with Microsoft. The community and the team have experienced a loss
As a Tanium team member, I have started this fundraiser to help cover the cost of his funeral expenses, comforting family meals, and for the care for his wife and son.
Our team was not prepared for this loss, and I’m sure that his family wasn’t either, and during this difficult time we are reaching out to the team for any help you’re able to give, even if it's a wish for peace and closure.

My hope is that we can lighten the Cole family’s burden in some small way.
It would mean a lot if you could share Matthew’s fundraiser with others who knew him, and if you knew him, you knew that he never met a stranger.
