Paying tribute to Jesi

My name is Amber Taylor and I'm setting up this gofundme page for my dear friend, Terra Whetten, who is grieving the loss of her daughter, Jesi (17 yrs old).  On Friday, May 27th, 2022, Jesi was in a swimming accident. She was rushed to the hospital, where she was put on life support. Jesi passed away peacefully with her mother, Terra and father, Garrett by her side on June 2, 2022.

There are many people in Jesi's life who have formed a special bond with her, but she spent most of her time with her mother, Terra and sister, Cora.  Six months ago, they moved to a little farm in Bethel, MN.  Both Jesi and Cora blossomed in fantastic ways.  Jesi was the happiest she had ever been.  She was glowing in everything she did; from the time she woke up to the moment she drifted to sleep. She was so happy. 

Jesi loved being out in nature and spending time with her family.  One of her favorite things was to gather sticks for daily campfires. She had an accordion toy called her "dangle" that she loved to dangle over the fire. She also loved helping around the house by vacuuming and doing laundry. Terra often would have to hide the laundry from Jesi so that she wouldn't do laundry independently. Jesi loved dancing to The Jackson 5, swimming and eating her favorite snacks. 

Everyone who knew Jesi loved her. Her smile lit up the room. Terra has been told by many, that Jesi has helped them with their own spiritual, vocational and personal paths in their own lives.  It is hard to put into words just how much Jesi has impacted our lives; but to all of us who have spent any time with Jesi, we can all agree that she taught us more about spirituality and life than any religion or sermon ever could. She did not need a lot of words to communicate her message but somehow we all understood. She will be deeply missed by us all.

We want to give Jesi the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and give our last goodbyes. Terra has also been working towards building a farm to serve children just like Jesi and Cora.  All donations will help with Jesi's funeral costs and farm memorial fund.  We love you Jesi. You will forever be in our hearts.
