Paying Tribute to Jerry by honoring Jill

Donation protected
On May 15, 2012 Covid symptoms appeared for both Jill and Jerry.  On May 19th they both tested positive for Covid-19.  On May 20th  Jill qualified to receive antibodies and it was thought that Jerry was on the mend.

On Friday May 21st Jerry was admitted by Ambulance to Lourdes Hospital in Broome County.   Anyone who knows Jerry, knows that he is rarely sick.  So going to the hospital was traumatic for him.   Over the next few days things appeared to be stable.

By May 26th he had developed a blood clot near his groin and surgery was scheduled.  That was the last time he was cognitive.  His O2 levels required he be put on a ventilator and put into an induced coma to keep him calm.

This last week has been a whirlwind of emotions for Jill, family and friends alike.  After things had stabilized she realized that this would be a long road ahead.

Last night we met through Zoom with friends and family to pray for God's healing in Jerry's life.  Fulling knowing that God's healing takes many forms, and sometimes healing may mean taking Jerry home to be with Jesus.

At 2:30 a.m. this morning the hospital called to ask about a blood transfusion, at 6:30 a.m the doctor called to say things were not good and the time was close.  At 8:02 this morning the Lord called Jerry home.

At 8:02 this morning Jerry passed from this world into Glory, into the presence of Jesus.

This has been extremely difficult to write and process.   There are some real practical things that must be taken into consideration.  Those of you who know Jerry , know that he held 2 jobs.  He worked full time for the school district and drove truck part time.  He was set to retire from the school district on July 1st.

Can you please prayerfully consider how you can help my friend Jill.  The next few months will be a trial....both emotionally and financially.

The Lord gives and the Lord takes away, Blessed be the Name of the Lord.   Job 1:21

Jerry was a man of strong faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.  Jill does not grieve as one without hope.  Her Hope is in the saving power of a relationship with Jesus.  Jerry has been fully healed, not in the way we would of wanted but a miracle still happened.  Jerry is in Glory.

The funds raised will help cover the costs of all aspects of burial.  It will also help Jill through the next few months of just picking up pieces.

The family covets your prayer support.  It is the only way they can get through this tough time.

Funeral Arrangements will be made and updated through the week.
