Paying Tribute to Jean Ricker

Donation protected
On Tuesday, November 17 Jean Ricker went into sudden cardiac arrest and was down for 45 minutes.  The paramedics got Jean's pulse back , and she was med flighted to Boston at Tufts Medical Center. She went into cardiac arrest two more times in the helicopter and in Boston in ICU.  The EKG showed STEMI.  ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) is a very serious type of heart attack during which one of the heart's major arteries (one of the arteries that supplies oxygen and nutrient-rich blood to the heart muscle) is blocked. ST-segment elevation is an abnormality detected on the 12-lead ECG. The team of doctors did everything they could for her, but her heart just gave out. This is who Jean was, always giving from a full heart.
Jean has left behind her beloved son Gabriel.  Jean and Gabriel had an extremely close bond and as you can imagine Gabriel is just in shock at the sudden loss of his mom.  In talking with Gabriel, he expressed that the day before on Monday, Jean had an excruciating headache and was complaining about neck pain.  Gabriel (being a EMT dispatcher) took her temperature and although no fever, wanted to bring his mom to the hospital, but Jean thought it would pass and with covid didn't want to expose herself to germs at the hospital.  This is so sad and makes this all the more tragic.   Jean and Gabriel although very small people in size, have great big hearts.  They were extremely active in community theater for years, such as Neverland Theatre and did many other theater/music involved events.  They both belonged to the SAG-AFTRA --the Screen Actors Guild and did many Films as extras.  Jean always held a smile on her face, dressed with pizzazz and wore dazzling heels--I am thinking to make herself appear taller!  But she walked pretty well in them either way!  She had always words of kindness to all who she met and just was a fun, spunky woman!
As you can imagine, her sudden passing has left her only son, Gabriel, in not only emotional distress, but financial distress.  Jean and Gabriel both worked to just barely make ends meet, but always held their heads high.  They would lend anything they could to anyone, if they had it. They relied on each other for everything.  I would like to be able to do whatever we can for Gabriel to help ease financial strain with costs of cremation for his mother and any and all other medical expenses, as Jean also did not have health insurance.  Jean also did not have a will at the time of her death, so Gabriel is needing to also seek a lawyer for probate related matters.  This will all surely add up quickly for Gabe.
So many more wonderful things can be said about Jean, and I know she has so many friends who can attest to that!
On behalf of Jean and Gabriel, I am asking that any amount you are able to help out with to ease the burden for Gabriel at this time would be tremendously appreciated!  xoxo

Thank you so much, Gabriel and Jean's friend,
