Paying tribute to Higgy

I battle heavy tears as I write this. Tears because a wonderful man is gone. Tears because two beautiful children are without their dad, a wife without her husband, parents without their son and many individuals without one of their best friends. Higgy was one of the best. If you were lucky to know him, you knew how much he loved his family and friends. You knew how much he loved to fish, hunt, hop on his Harley, coach his children and fix anything he could get his hands on.

Unfortunately, Casey Hayden passed away on Saturday, May 7, while doing what he loved….fishing. He was fishing with his son on Lake Chetek when he experienced a severe medical issue, resulting in him falling off the boat of his dreams and into the water. After many attempts, he could not be saved.

There are no words to describe how devastating this tragedy has been. Please offer prayers and support to the Hayden family. They will be experiencing many hardships during this difficult time, emotionally and financially.

Funeral services are being arranged and this page will be updated with information.
