Gloria Alice Petrucci passed away peacefully in her sleep at 6:30am on Sunday, January 10th, 2021 after losing a long battle to Early-Onset Dementia, and Pancreatic Cancer.

Gloria was a strong, thoughtful, kind and caring woman who loved to laugh, dance and spend time with her family and friends.

Gloria was the proud Mother of four boys who she worked tirelessly to support during their childhood, working two jobs simultaneously while going to night college at one point.

Gloria Alice Petrucci was only 49 years old when she was diagnosed with Early Onset Dementia in December 2015. Doctors say she had most likely been experiencing symptoms for 5 years prior.
After the diagnosis; Gloria's three eldest sons immediately took her into their care and began to support her during this time. The disease progressed over several years, and unfortunately in late 2020 she was also diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, soon after which she passed away.
Gloria comes from a large, loving Italian family: The Petrucci's. She was the youngest of 9 children and is survived by her 3 brothers and 5 sisters, and her Mother.
She was a beautiful, loving Mother, Sister, Aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Why are we doing a GoFundMe?
The Healthcare and Caregiving costs associated with Gloria's battle with Dementia were enormous. Thankfully she received help from Social Security and Medicare and a Donation Drive during that time, but still at an incredible cost to the family.
With her recent passing, there are now more costs associated with end-of-life expenses.
We are asking for donations to help not only pay for her end-of-life expenses, but also to fund a tribute for her in-person Memorial Service.
Some of these costs include Funeral Home expenses, Burial Plot, Funeral Service, Cremation, etc. and we estimate they will be between $9 - 15 thousand.
The date for the in-person Memorial Service is TBD but will come some time after COVID-19 has completely ended and it is safe to do so.
In the meantime we will be having a Virtual Memorial Service on Sunday, February 21st from 3-5pm. More details coming soon on that.

Any additional funds raised will be directly donated to the Alzheimer's Association at ALZ.org to support scientific research in the search for a cure.
Thank You and God Bless
