Paying Tribute to Firefighter Michael Burkhalter

We were devastated when we found out that Michael (Mike) Burkhalter passed away suddenly late Saturday night, September 18, 2021. He leaves behind a loving wife, Ami, a beautiful daughter, Olivia, and two wonderful sons, Nathan and Hayden. Mike touched the lives of so many people with his sense of humor and big heart and him no longer being with us has left a void that cannot be filled.

 

I have spent today reading the messages from friends and family on his Facebook page with both laughter and tears. The type of person Mike was truly shows in the love and outpouring coming from so many people. There are stories upon stories on his humor...oh his humor...and the countless good deeds he did for others.

 

Mike dedicated his life to service...first in the military and then as a firefighter for the Houston Fire Department. Now we are asking for help back. With unexpected funeral expenses and other financial considerations we are asking for your donation to help alleviate immediate costs. All funds will go directly to the widow, Ami Burkhalter. We all miss Mikey tremendously, but knowing his family is all settled will help so much! Thank you in advance for your generosity!!
