On August 18, 2021, my children lost their father, and I lost the love of my life. Cory Jay Munyon was a wonderful husband and father to our 4 children. While growing up, Cory loved spending time outdoors with his dad, Stan, and going on fun vacations with his mom, Deborah. Once he married and had a family of his own, he made sure that his kids enjoyed traveling, being outdoors, and watching football games (especially the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS!) with him. Even as he was getting worse, his focus remained on his family and how we would move forward after his passing. He was terrified at the thought of leaving his family. There was no time to put any plans in place before Cory passed, as there were only 2 and a half weeks between the time he went to the ER in Murfreesboro, TN, and his passing in Jackson, MS.
We will be fine because we have a wonderful network of family and friends. Any donations would help secure a future for our children that might not be possible without a little extra help. I know Cory would want to have peace of mind that Elijah, Hazel, Morgan, and Ava will have the opportunity to attend whatever college they want, and that Hazel, Morgan, and Ava can have the weddings of their dreams!!
