Paying Tribute to Cary Lynn

Hi, I’m Lauren, a fellow special needs mama and friend of Amy Fields.

Our hearts all broke when we read Amy’s New Year’s Eve post informing us of Cary Lynn’s passing:

“This morning at 2:45am a warrior laid down her sword.

She was surrounded by love and family.

She passed in her daddy’s arms with her mama by her side.

There was no pain and now she dances in an eternal kingdom of light and joy.

Our hearts are broken but Cary Lynn will live on because her life touched so many.

The fight is over

Amy and her family have faced every obstacle over the past year and beyond with grace and fortitude and blessed honesty.

The fight is over, but her life will continue to glow in all of us.

(I’d also like to think that the recipients of her infamous kicks and punches will have a little extra of that light to lead them on in the years to come.)

There is a special bond between families of exceptional children. We truly understand what one other is going through…the joys, the heartaches, the small things for the world that are huge things for our kids, the importance of just knowing that there is someone else out there who truly gets where we are at on this frequently lonely journey.

I’m asking you to help me provide some financial support to the Fields family after the devastating loss of Cary Lynn, so they can spend this time honoring their beautiful fighter and healing as family instead of worrying about the inevitable financial burdens.

Let’s all come together for this brave, strong family and give them some relief. Anything you can give will be appreciated. And if you cannot give, please continue to wrap the Fields family in your prayers.
