Paying Tribute to An Amazing Man, Tyler Thompson
Donation protected
Tyler was a dedicated and compassionate son, brother, husband, cousin, and friend to others. He was often the life of the party and loved to play pranks and jokes on others. He had the gift when meeting you of making you feel important. He was a genuine person. He was also a fighter and self-starter and worked tirelessly to reach his goals and dreams. Additionally, he was a planner and as a young man, he knew where he was going and what he wanted to achieve. He had an incredible laugh that was infectious to others and made you smile when hearing it. He was an AVID Dodger, Laker, and USC fan and enjoyed watching the successes of all three teams. He was a Christian and believed in Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior. The family takes comfort in knowing that Tyler is in heaven with his Papa Tom and Grandpa Ernie. He was married to his beautiful and talented bride, Jasmine, in the spring of 2018. They had their own hopes and dreams as a couple and to one day have a family of their own.
Sadly, and unexpectedly, tragedy struck Tyler on December 16, 2020. After a weekend of working in the yard, Tyler woke up the next day feeling fatigued. Initially, it was attributed to “yard work,” something he wasn’t fond of, but it was clear by the next day that something more serious was wrong. He became unresponsive and was rushed to St. Jude Medical Center by ambulance. The team of six doctors and specialists were puzzled as to what was attacking Tyler’s body. It wasn’t COVID, but what virus or disease could he have gotten? There was no cure and medical treatment was not effective. Twenty-seven short hours later, Tyler passed away while surrounded by his wife, parents, sister, and in-laws. He was 29 years of age.
We want to give Tyler Thompson the funeral he deserves and to say our last goodbyes. We are currently asking for funds to cover Tyler’s funeral expenses, medical bills, and other unforeseen costs. Our goal is to raise: $50,000.00 by January 4, 2021.
We appreciate your continued prayers and support for the Thompson, Gonzalez, and Caffrey families. On behalf of the entire family, we want to sincerely thank you for your sacrifice and generosity.
