Parents plan for lots of things. Birthdays. School Pictures. Graduation celebrations.

But what no parent anticipates, or ever plans for, is the unthinkable death of a child. Losing a child is said to be one of the most devestating kinds of personal loss that a person can ever experience.

Grieving single mom Claudia Love Mair now knows this is true. Her beloved son, Lumumba Bandale, has unexpectedly passed, leaving Claudia unprepared to cope with the anguish of his loss, nor the practical concerns of burying a child.

As a community, we can only carry a small part of Claudia's burden now. But let us do that the best we can.
