Great Babies Rescue is raising funds for Izzy, a 5 month old rescue doberman pup, who has congenital urinary issues. She has a recessed vulva, short urethra, and a teeny tiny bladder. In the last 10 weeks, she has racked up $3800 in vet bills. No family adopts a 9 week old puppy and is prepared for this!
To clarify, this means she developed these UTI issues after she was born, but they weren't immediately apparent. She has had a rough start; constant Urinary Tract Infections- requiring antibiotics, probiotics, supplements and so many vet appointments. Not to mention the potty breaks every 2.5 hours. Her parents are exhausted, financially and emotionally. I have reviewed all the receipts, and they are overwhelming
After consultation with a specialist, the hope is that she will outgrow it within 1-2 heat cycles. She is only 5 months, which means this problem will persist at least another year.
Her family is so committed to her that her momma is working 3 part time jobs, to pay for vet bills, and to have the flexibility to come home every 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours to let Izzy potty outside. Izzy's momma has missed so much work, just to get her vet care.
Izzy's family is committed, but they need our help. The last thing they want to do is surrender her, but they have exhausted all their emergency savings and their Care Credit. They have asked for help, out of necessity.
Great Babies Rescue will collect funds, and directly pay providers for future vet bills and medication costs, as donations allow. We will work with the family to find cost effective treatments. Receipts will be posted here.
Great Babies Rescue doesn't adopt out dogs, we adopt families into our family. Please consider a monthly, or weekly donation. $5 or $10 each will all add up.
You are never required to tip on this platform. Simply adjust the number to zero. If you prefer another donation method, simply ask. I will account for all donations here, in this GFM.
If anyone has ever helped you when you needed it, please consider paying it forward!
