Help us SAVE OUR DAYCARE

Hello my name is JerMaine and I am a former educator here in the Fort Wayne area. I’ve been teaching here since 2010 within a plethora of districts in Indiana. I was raised in a single mother household with four other siblings. Growing up fatherless has definitely had its share of difficulties in our home. That’s where I began to liberate myself and discovered that I will not allow another child to feel like they didn’t have a positive role model to look up to. While in this process we bought a house in the Lafayette Place area and opened up our first daycare. Unfortunately due to the covenants that were written in 1915 (that were supposed to be abolished in 1945) states that you could only use your home for residential purposes only. With that being said we are in a fight to keep our in-home daycare open. So in turn, we occurred over $10,000 in attorney fees thus far. Honestly, it’s just unfair because I am trying to provide the best support my family needs and also provide childcare for low income families. I am reaching out for help as this a true financial burden to myself as well as my family. Thank you sooooo much!!! IF GOD BE FOR US NO ONE CAN BE AGAINST US !!!
