UPDATE 9/1/22
She has been going to the vet every other day for the past month, each appointment is about $400 and we're carefully giving her pain medication. She tore her hip muscle (probably because she keeps trying to clean the area with a cone on, and keeps kicking her leg due to the bandage on her leg bothering her) So on top of the stitches going all the way down her leg due to the skin on the leg becoming necrotic, we have a lot to worry about. I'm just thankful we didn't have to put her down but now we have to worry about her condition possibly worsening because the vet she was seeing before has been out of office and the people filling in for him seem to be doing a poor job of taking care of her.
I never wanted it to come to this, but our beloved cat Jinx came down with a bacterial infection; The news of her condition worsening has been hurting me for weeks.
We took her to the vet at a moment's notice, and the vets worsened the condition and pushed antibiotics that the bacteria were specifically resistant against. We were able to find a solution other than a skin graft. They're attempting to stretch the skin and sew her up, every appointment costs 400$ and we have to take her every other day for possibly a month.
I have never been so angry and upset in my entire life.
The infection continued to spread, making her skin necrotic, which the vets attempted to stitch up, but the stitches kept popping due to the poor health of the skin.
We've poured thousands into vet bills and are in serious debt. We are urgently trying to raise funds to pay these bills and have contacted a humane organization to help cover some of them, but we still need some extra help. Unfortunately, it won't cover all of it.
UPDATE 8/11/22:
Here she is in her recent condition, She has an open wound with packing over it. The vet is attempting to stretch the skin and we take her to the vet every other day to keep her closely monitored. She's making great progress.
below are images showing her condition last month
She doesn't deserve to suffer and lose her life due to the vet's negligence.
Please, if it's possible for you, donate
All donations will be transferred to my mother's bank account (She is the one paying the bills) and put towards paying off her vet bills.
Remember, Any amount will help.
Thank you in advance if you choose to donate.
