Pay medical bills and lost wages

Kim Hazard is a 50 year old wife and mother of 4 amazing children. In October 2022, Kim was diagnosed with cirrhosis which she later found out was due to autoimmune hepatitis which rapidly has progressed to Stage 4. Essentially her body is attacking her own liver so TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE for her to get a transplant!

Kim is being seen at UPMC Pittsburg which is one of the largest transplant centers in the U.S. Not only do they perform traditional transplants at UPMC, they perform what is called a living donor transplant. A living donor meaning a person can volunteer to donate a small portion of their liver which will regenerate back to normal size in less than 3 months! This procedure could save Kim’s life!

As you can imagine, Kim is unable to work or drive. Her husband Alan is her main care giver. Unfortunately a lot of the time that he has to take off from work to care for Kim and their young children is without pay. The last thing anyone should have to worry about when they are fighting for their life is bills.

Anyone who knows Kim, knows that she would drop everything in her own life to help others. In fact, she has probably helped most of the people reading this post at one time or another. It’s time for us to give back and help her.
