Some of you may know on November 27, 2023 my husband Rene Lozano and two oldest kids Madilyn and Kayden were t-boned on their way to school. Rene and Kayden were both hospitalized with many injuries and Madilyn was discharged that night with just a bruised arm. Our truck was totaled and it was our daily driver as mine still needs some work so it's left us with needing to get a replacement vehicle. Kayden spent 5 days in the hospital 2 of those days in ICU. He suffered a broken clavicle, 2 broken ribs, a broken ankle and a lac on his spleen. He had to get a cast on his ankle which was transitioned to a boot after 2 weeks. Rene has suffered a total of 21 broken bones being his clavicle, his pelvis, his ribs and 2 section of his spine. He also got 8 staples in his head a lac on his liver and many scrapes and bruises. He underwent surgery placing three screws to realign his pelvis and was in the hospital ICU for three weeks. He was discharged and has been home now for a week. He will be in a wheelchair for approximately 4 months until he's able to start walking again. Since the day of the accident I have been out of work taking care of both Kayden and Rene full time. Rene as well has been out of work only receiving short term disability. My medical through work had been funding the costs for these hospital stays but since I've been out of work I'm not eligible for my medical so they are billing us backdated the day I stopped working being the day of the accident. We now have medical bills needing to be paid on top of our mortgage and monthly bills falling behind. We are blessed that God had his hands over my family that day. It's still going to be a long road to recovery but we're taking it a day at a time. We greatly appreciate anyone who can donate every dollar adds up.
