I'm Ferd.

I'm a father, a husband, and I'm trans. I'm pretty worried about the state of Montana and the country. My family and I are trying to escape the harmful policies and environment of Montana for a state with stronger protections. We've decided on Portland, Oregon because their are strong protective laws as well as an accepting community.

It's hard to leave the community I have loved for so long. I feel truly loved by queer Missoula, and I can't tell you what that means to me. My time working with this community to help make those of us who are targeted safer has been an honor that I will keep with me. But it's my responsibility to make sure I am making the choices that will help my family thrive.

Please help us raise money for our move at the end of November. It's hard to ask for help in this. As a long-time community advocate, I know that things are tight for everyone. Anything that you can spare to help us reach safety is appreciated.
