I’m Angel Maxine, a trans woman, artist, musician, and activist using my voice, music, and visibility to challenge oppression, amplify queer African stories, and create space for others to exist more freely.

I had to leave Ghana and move to Germany to live more safely as a trans woman. That journey was not simply about relocation, it was about survival. But even while rebuilding my life in a new country, I have continued to create, speak out, organize, and remain visible in spaces where people like me are often expected to disappear.

My activism lives through my art.

Through my music, performances, storytelling, and public presence, I document queer African experiences, confront silence and stigma, and turn survival into visibility, resistance, and expression. Every project I create carries emotional, creative, and political labor.

Being openly trans, African, and outspoken comes with risk. Yet I continue to show up because I believe our stories deserve to be heard, our lives deserve visibility, and our communities deserve representation beyond pain and stereotypes.

I’m raising funds to support my activism and music so I can continue creating impactful work sustainably and independently.

Too often, marginalized artists and activists are expected to educate, inspire, organize, and create without the support needed to sustain that work. I want to continue building meaningful art and advocacy without constantly operating from exhaustion or survival mode.
