Pay It Forward!

The Lux Center of Counseling and Education is a woman-owned mental and behavioral health center that is located in Broward and Palm Beach counties in Florida. We are focused on the well-being of each client and family and our communities by providing mental and behavioral health therapy services.

We opened during the pandemic and began offering play therapy and trauma-focused services for children and adults in person – this was a big action during a pandemic! Based on our experience in our therapy rooms, we know the importance of mental and behavioral health services for children, adults, and families.

Over the past three years, our families in south Florida have experienced many significant life changing events, including deaths, hurricanes, COVID, economic changes, floods, and many other personal tragedies. I am also human, and I live and work in Florida. Before the pandemic, I suffered a major medical event. While recovering from this event and during the pandemic, I saw over and over again that we are best able to persevere through tragedies when we do good work together.

At The Lux Center of Counseling and Education, we work collaboratively with clients and therapists. It is always our goal to meet our clients where they are and ensure our therapists have the education and training they need to help our clients achieve their treatment goals.

Today, we are asking you to help keep our work going and Pay It Forward! We are currently asking for personal donations to help us continue to provide mental and behavioral health therapy services in our communities. Your donation may be used to: a) continue therapy services for children, adults, and families; or b) help our therapists receive more training – wherever our greatest financial needs are.
