Pay It Forward in Honor of Nola Bloom
Donation protected
**This money is being raised to pay back the generous grant the Vet gave to Nola because they saw that she was an eligible candidate for treatment***
Nola Bloom was rescued off of the streets of New Orleans when myself, friends, and family couldn't leave her looking lethargic, laying in the sun, with no interest in eating or drinking. Nola made the 14 hour drive from The Big Easy to South Florida to get treatment for Parvovirus. Parvo is a nasty viral infection that, without treatment, results in death for 80-90% of unvaccinated and young puppies. While monoclonal antibodies exist, and successfully aid in treating this very contagious disease, it is not cheap. Thankfully, we brought Nola to two amazing Vets that saw her potential to recover! She stayed over 48 hours at a 24/7 animal hospital and received essential, around the clock care and against all odds, this girl survived!! She is nearly fully recovered now, enjoying a couple last isolation days filled with TLC!
Nola's treatment was north of $4,000, however, this fundraiser is to pay back the amazing donated grant that was gifted to Nola when they saw she was an ideal case for treatment. They are not asking for this money back, but Nola and I would like to pay it forward. Maybe for the next puppy that comes in sick.
For now, Nola is sitting on my lap, happy as can be - an absolutely intelligent and gentle angel who has told me herself that she is thankful for another chance.
Please note I am not sharing the specific Vet or Donation Fund publicly so that they are no bombard with requests for free care. This is for very rare cases and requires approvals to grant.
