Pay vet bills for Enoch after getting hit by Jeep

My name is Sandra, today my dog Enoch whom is usually a very well behaved, and professionally trained American Bully , decided to run down our driveway into traffic (the road has a lot of traffic and although the speed limit is 35 people usually are going 50 mph or faster). We think he was either chasing one of our cats or saw the neighbors chickens out. Since our children have moved out Enoch is now our new baby, he’s just a little furrier than our human babies. But he is definitely our son, and we love him with all our hearts and souls.

As Enoch ran out of our driveway a red Jeep wrangler (with big tires kinda raised up) was passing by (going about 45 mph) and Enoch ran under the Jeep. When he was run over with the back tires he made the loudest bark/cry of ever heard, it will be in my head for the rest of my life. He has a 6” cut over his right eye and a 3” cut on his side of nose. They had to stitch those up. He has road rash on his bottom lip and the front of all 4 paws and on the middle of his tail (on testicles and anus). The most serious injury is to his back left leg. The hip was pulled out of the socket and the ligament was stretched. The emergency vet have tried to put it back in the socket but are keeping him overnight to keep him comfortable with meds. Best case scenario is it stays in socket and heals (50/50 chance) if it doesn’t we will have to choose surgery to either cut the ball socket off and have the leg stay on with just muscle, or try pins to keep hip attached. No matter what Enoch will not be allowed to walk on his own for the next 3 weeks. (Not sure how I’m going to carry him around yet). So far the vet bill is $1,823. That’s if he doesn’t need the surgery. Please help whatever you are able to at this time. I unfortunately wasn’t able to take pictures of him after the accident, as I was freaking out. But I promise to get updated pictures. I will try to update as much as I can. Thank you again.

(Update 10/12/23; Enoch’s hip is worse than we thought, he now requires a surgery called toggle. The orthopedic surgeon sees him next Tuesday 10/17 and surgery will be Wednesday 10/18. The surgery cost is $5,750 and the consult is $253.00. Totaling $6,003.00. I was able to get $1,100.00 towards the surgery so I need $4,903.00. Please, Every dollar counts!
