My mom, Polly Lloyd , was recently diagnosed with terminal liver cancer. It was quite sudden and unexpected.

We are doing our best to care for her with the limited resources at our disposal. It is quickly becoming apparent that we will need additional financial assistance to keep up with her changing care needs.

For now, we need the extra help with medical supplies, comfort items, pain control products, and new dietary requirements. In the future, as the disease progresses, we will need additional help getting CNA level care in home. This type of care is out of pocket, and we cannot afford it for her as it is now. In the final days, we want to have in home hospice care for her, so she can spend her last days in the comfort of her own home and be surrounded by her family and loved ones, and of course Oberon, her Awesomepaws kitty.

Additionally, she has requested to have a celebration of life party while she is still strong enough to celebrate with friends and family. These funds will also go towards making this celebration happen, as well as potentially assisting family members with airfare up to Juneau for the celebration.

Any amount that you can donate will be greatly appreciated! I know that there are a lot of old friends and some family that will be caught off guard by this whole thing, and without much notice, wont be able to do much to help out. Financial assistance in this case is an incredible help, and will go to good use to help care for Polly one way or another.
