Pay for my pint in the form of a donation
Hi Everyone,
Every day, I wake up feeling a profound sense of helplessness as I think about the suffering of the people in Palestine.
In 1939, my grandfather was born in Jerusalem, Palestine. His life, like that of so many others, was forever altered when he fled, leaving behind a rich history and a now 'protected' UNESCO World Heritage site that holds thousands of years of literature.
My grandfather's family carried little with them on their journey, but they held on to something invaluable: their identity. Fast forward 85 years through countless wars, forced displacements from our homeland in Lebanon, and two more generations, I find myself in London, experiencing a different kind of struggle – one of feeling powerless to help from afar.
As my birthday approaches, there’s one gift that would mean more to me than anything else: a donation of £7 to Medical Aid for Palestinians. Your contribution would provide much-needed support and would be far more meaningful to me than a golden sparkling lager.
Thank you for considering my heartfelt request.
