My name is Mandy Bellamy, and this October 18th, I’ll be running my very first 5K with the Race Against Breast Cancer. I’m incredibly honored to take part in something so meaningful — and this year, it’s especially personal.

I wanted to share the story of a beautiful family I’m running for.

Maddie Takacs was recently diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer while pregnant with her second daughter. She’s currently undergoing chemotherapy, and her baby girl is due this coming January.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help support Maddie and her family during this incredibly challenging time. Any contributions will go directly to helping them with medical expenses, childcare, and day-to-day needs as they navigate treatment and prepare to welcome their new baby.
