Our beloved family cat Koda (2 years old) went missing for almost 5 days. We were worried sick about him. After hours of searching and restless nights, today, on the 20th of June we found Koda outside of our house, dragging himself across the floor for help. We're unsure as to how he made it home. He is believed to have been hit by a car, who unfortunately didn't stop. Koda is currently at the veterinary hospital and is in need of intensive treatment. His back legs and lower abdomen are severely disfigured and his paws are crushed. Fly eggs were found in his wound which implies that he has been in this condition the entirety of his time missing. It was 30 degrees outside and he is severely dehydrated. He may need an amputation on his rear right leg and likely has internal damages. These veterinary costs may exceed our insurance by a lot of money. He will need potentially several surgeries, rehabilitation and physical therapy. Please, if you can spare the money, help our baby and help him come home happy and healthy to his family.
Update 21/6/25: Koda has had his amputation as he has qualified for it, he appears to be stable currently. He still has a lot of treatment to undergo, so again, please donate if you're able to. We appreciate everyone's help so much, thank you for helping to save our boy .
