Ivy is my 13 month old border collie , she was unfortunately born with a heart murmur , it started very low but has developed into a high risk heart problem called PDA - patent ductus arteriorus. This is a congenital condition whereby a fetal blood vessel called the ductus arteriosus remains open after birth which allows blood to flow abnormally from the aorta into the pulmonary artery. This leads to the heart becoming volume overloaded, the chambers of the heart dilating and eventually symptoms of congestive heart failure (fluid build up in the lung tissue) occur.  

Closure of this vessel is therefore necessary. However, this operation cost £6000 and her insurance refuse to cover it as she was born with it. Without this surgery ivy will go into heart failure and I will lose my gorgeous girl 

I am a 20 year old girl living with just ivy , she is my entire world and I am willing to do anything to afford this surgery for her. She is such a fantastic dog and she deserves ever chance she can have to survive this and continue living her best life with me . Please find some kindness to help support us in saving her life <3
