My name is Jacqueline Gadson, and I have launched this fundraiser because my beloved father, William Henry Dixon, passed away on Veteran's Day 2022 in the early morning hours. He will be immensely missed. He was the backbone to our family, and his absence can already be felt. Unfortunately, at the time of his passing, he didn't have any life insurance, so the funeral costs will have to be covered out of pocket by my family and me. We're not financially prepared to cover the cost of the funeral, and cremation, which is $5500, so we've set up a gofund me to try and raise $3000, but any amount we raise will help!

We know that everyone is struggling financially, mentally and emotionally at this time. But if you can spare any donations for the costs of my dear father's funeral & cremation, we would sincerely appreciate it!! The donations will help pay for his cremation and urn for his ashes. After Thanksgiving, we plan to hold a memorial service at First Baptist Church on November 26th in Henderson, where many of his Sundays in his later years were spent.

My father was perhaps the wisest and most down-to-earth person I have ever known. He could speak articulately on almost any topic and disarm even the most vicious savage (LITERALLY).

Our grandpa was a veteran, a great storyteller, a music lover, a fisherman and an ACTIVE father...the list goes on for a century. He was so happy to be around family, and we were so happy to be around him. We will miss him, his smile, his laugh, and his kind and wise words and epic stories. A bright light has undoubtedly been taken from this world.
