About two years ago, I went homeless after I was disowned by my parents. I fled Florida, and drove to the other side of the country, both out of fear and out of a desperate attempt to find somewhere that would accept me.
For the first three weeks, I stayed in a nightly basis homeless shelter. Then I stayed in a long term shelter, specifically for LGBT+ youth like myself. While I was there, I managed to get a job, and, eventually, save up enough to move into my own apartment.
Now, a few months later, I'm dealing with a lack of money, yet again. My first paycheck of the month goes entirely to rent, and my second paycheck gets eaten up by car insurance, utilities, food, etc. I try to save enough of it that I can have enough for food and such after paying rent at the first of every month, but sometimes it's not possible.
Before, I'd had a bunch of food left over that I'd bought with EBT, but when I got this job I was no longer applicable for it. Now I've run out of that extra food and I have nothing to eat for two weeks. I also don't have enough to pay for car insurance, which I need in order to drive.
I would appreciate any help you can offer. Here's why I'm asking for $325. My car insurance is roughly $250. Food for two weeks is $75.
