Hey everyone! This is not easy and I‘ve put the thought of this off for a while as I know everyone is doing it tough at the moment.

As most know my dad was recently diagnosed with cancer, his full diagnosis is non-small cell lung cancer stage 4. The cancer has spread to the bottom of his spine, adrenal glands and his brain. He’s now blind in one eye and has lost his ability to hear and can no longer walk without assistance. He made it through his radiation treatment but after new scans they gave him the option to choose chemotherapy or quality of life. My dad was recently admitted to hospital after being unable to eat or drink for a few days, he has decided not to do chemo and will be going home on hospice care.

I’ve already made a trip home by myself to help while he finished up his last days of radiation, but the cost of flights has skyrocketed and a round trip for one person right now is ranging 3.5-4K aud and is not easy to do now that I’ve already taken 3 weeks off work. My partner Ashley hasn’t seen my parents since October 2019 and we really want to be there before the cancer progresses anymore and make the last few memories we can.

We are not expecting to hit a ‘goal’ but we will use all money to help with the cost of flights and bills while we are away. Absolutely anything will help at this point, even just kind words and prayers.
