Pay for David's Transfer & Medical Bills

Hello everyone, my name is Collin Joseph and I'm raising money for my Dad's medical bills and transfer to a facility here in SWFL.

In February my Dad had surgery at a hospital in Miami to address a fistula in his brain, and the surgery had some complications, leading to what has become an extended medical leave. While we're hoping for a full recovery, the only way for that to be possible is for him to be transferred from the hospital in Miami to an LTACH facility in SWFL, and our insurance won't cover the ambulance ride. They're currently fighting the transfer entirely, and we may need to eventually consult a lawyer for help which will add even more expense. We're expecting at least $3,000 in bills for that ambulance ride alone, and more bills coming as he continues his care.

These have been some of the most trying few weeks our family has had to go through, and the road ahead will be extremely difficult. Asking for help has never been my strong-suit, and if you know my Dad you know where I get it from, but we've come to a point where I fear we have no other choice. As the sole source of income for the family due to my Mom's disability, I've taken over the business in order to maintain it for him to one day come back to work, but we can't be sure when that will be, and if he doesn't get transferred soon enough and receive the care he needs, that may not be possible at all.
