Helping with my Dad's medical bills in Thailand
Donation protected
I am raising funds to help my Dad, Mr Christopher Swain. He has been very unwell, and is in a care home right now. Previously to this, around 6 weeks ago, he had some heart problems, and was taken into a local government hospital. His insurance didn't cover much, so I paid for as much as I could, and with the help of this page, lots of you, his friends and family, lovingly donated. But, we still need your help please.
Pranee and I have already used up most of our savings and paid around £15,000 but we can really do with as much help as possible, before his bills spiral out of control. If you could help towards his monthly bills at the care home, we would be so grateful. Our aim now is to get him fit to fly, and then bring him back to the UK to get the help he needs and deserves. If we can do this he should make a full recovery. But without it, life will be very difficult for him. And I really don't want that for him - he's my Dad! My Mum passed a few years ago, so he is all the family I have left, and I want to be able to continue hanging out with him, I love him.
The funds raised will be used directly to help pay his medical bills, his day to day care, which includes his 100% round the clock aid and for his medicine.
However, if the worst does happen, I would like to bring Dad back to the UK to be with Mum, who passed a few years ago, so they can be together.
Those of you that know my Dad will know that he would hate to ask for help, but we are unfortunately at that place, where we can't do it alone.
My Dad was born in Pune, India. His mother was from India and was a senior staff nurse, whilst his father was from the UK, but worked for the British government, so was deployed to India. Dad met my Mum whilst he was serving in the RAF. After finishing his service they settled in Cambridgeshire. He was married to my Mum for just over 50 years, until she passed. After this he moved out to Thailand to be closer to me, but this wasn't an easy life-choice for a man of his age. I really want to make his time here as comfortable and healthy as possible.
I know the cost of living crisis is biting, heating bills are expensive and times are hard for everybody right now. But if there is any way you could please spare some money to help my Dad, we would really appreciate it.
