Please help us defray the costs of treating my son Alek's brain injury that resulted from Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM) at age 2. Alek turns 9 soon, and we are thankful that he can walk and see again. Still he is struggling with other problems caused by ADEM and MOGAD, Central Auditory Processing Disorder, Seizures, and other sensory disorders, plus multiple behavioral and educational challenges. Our health insurance does not cover all therapies, medicines, and activities which can reduce the frequency of seizures and improve focus and impulse control, so we need help to cover an estimated $7,500 in treatment costs.

Our hope is that with these therapies and medicines, like speech, occupational, and behavioral therapies, educational learning programs, special medical devices, seizure alert systems, and visits with doctors who specialize in treating kids with ADEM and Epilepsy, Alek will be given the opportunity to reach his fullest potential!
