Help Pay Fern’s medical bills

UPDATE: Unfortunately this afternoon we were forced to say goodbye to our beloved Fern. Her surgery involved five incisions on her intestines and there was a perforation they had to repair. This perforation is believed to be the cause of her incredibly rapid deterioration today. The options presented to us were very risky with absolutely almost no guarantee of success, and Fern was so weak and suffering so badly…we had to do what was in her best interests and not selfishly prolong what was obviously the inevitable.

I'm leaving the fundraiser live because we could use any help those of you out there are willing to offer. Thanks again for all the kind words we’ve received since her passing, and for any financial assistance you may offer.

Hi all. I’m not very good at asking for help, but our girl Fern here ate a bunch of things she shouldn’t have and needed to have emergency surgery to remove the items. They had to make 5 incisions into her intestinal tract and she is currently at the Brant Norfolk Animal Hospital doing her best to recover enough to come home.

of course, costs for these things are astronomical. The surgery alone was $3300.00, and the hospital is a thousand a night. We were lucky enough to have a credit card to initially put these things on, but I’m here to ask for some help in paying a chunk of it back.
