Paxton's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Wednesday, December 6th, Paxton was involved in a serious automobile accident with his mom and sisters at the intersection of Hwy. 5 and Hwy. 27. Leah and the girls (Abby and Riley), escaped with bumps and bruises. Paxton however was on the passenger side and took a direct hit. Paxton immediatly lost his color and began losing blood. There was a short time at the accident scene where Paxton stopped breathing. Thanks to the quick work of Carroll County Fire Rescue and West Georgia Ambulance, Children's Health was able to send a helicopter straight to the accident scene specially equiped to handle kids. Paxton has a great amount of trauma to the head and is in critical condition at Egleston Children's Hospital.
In addition to medical expenses, Taylor and Leah have a hotel room a block away and are going to see a great burden of expenses over the next few months of recovery. Leah was forced to close "The Little Dog Boutique" during the busiest time of the year and Taylor will also be out of work for may weeks.
Please donate anthing you are able to help them get through this. You can also mail or make donations in person at Charter Bank, 820 Dixie Street, Carrollton, GA 30117. Donations need to be payable to Taylor or Leah Alston (Please add "Medical Fund" in the comment line and it will be sent to a special account).
It has been truly amazing to hear from so many of our family and friends reaching out in support and prayer. This will be a long road to recovery, so please continue to pray for Paxton's healing and for his family's peace of mind throughout this process. The family is asking that there be no visitors at this time due to him being in Pediatric ICU (per hospital policy). More updates will be provided as we get new information.
