Our little Kennedy, so sweet, so funny, and so spirited! She has such a vivid imagination, boundless energy, and is always exploring new things. About 2.5 years ago, Kennedy was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and severe anxiety. This diagnosis has definitely changed our perspective on life and how we understand others. But you know what? We never want it to hold Kennedy back from experiencing the world, enjoying activities with her peers and siblings, and thriving in life. Unfortunately, her diagnosis has also brought about challenges like severe anxiety, sensory processing disorder, and difficulty communicating. These challenges affect how she perceives the world, how she handles new situations and people, and her ability to do things that every child should get to do. But you know what Kennedy really wants? She desperately wants to make new friends, explore new environments, and spend time with the people she loves.

That's why we're hoping to get her an autism support service dog. This wonderful dog will be her constant companion in new environments, helping her feel safe amidst sensory difficulties. It will assist Kennedy in calming down during panic attacks and meltdowns that can be so overwhelming. The dog will also play a vital role in keeping her safe from wandering off, as well as help her with her sleep difficulties and anxiety. The service dog will be incredibly well-trained to track Kennedy and provide behavior redirection and deescalation techniques in those challenging moments. As a family, we're determined to do everything we can to provide Kennedy with this amazing companion, so that she can fully enjoy her childhood just like any other child.
