Septembe 1st, Hurricane Dorian came and stayed on top of Grand Bahama for almost 36 hours, without moving, devastating the island, causing unprecedented flooding. Alot of my pet clients have lost their homes, their dogs, their cars. Everything! We will have to start over from scratch.
My name is Trina Knowles, a local pet groomer, that housed almost 50 dogs, with two other persons, during the storm for pet clients who wanted to protect their furry loved ones. This was the hardest thing we have faced as an island. My pet salon was almost flooded, having to carry 50 dogs upstairs to protect them from the incoming water. It was a grueling task, but we did it.
My heart is also aching as our local shelter suffered damages and my vet, his practice was submerged. We still dot know the damages they all suffered. But i want to assist them as well. But from what we saw from videos the water levels were astronomical. Something we have never, ever experienced.
The goal of this fundraiser is to assist our fellow Bahamians, especially our pet parents, to ease the pain of having to recover from this horrific storm. We want to be able to provide funds, dog food, water, supplies, clothing anything that can help my people out. At this time i do not know if i have a place to live, but if i can help others out with this. I can always find shelter.

And the Humane Society of Grand Bahama, which is located on Coral Road and also was flooded and sustained damages as well.
