PAWS Youth and Advocacy Center

We are PAWS Youth and Advocacy Center, a 510c3 not-for-profit organization located in Rochester, NY.  Our organization began in 2012 and since that time, we have adapted to the changing needs of our community.  PAWS Youth and Advocacy Center is committed to serving our community through youth sports.  We believe that sports, primarily baseball, will serve as a catalyst for social change within our community and surrounding areas.  

Over the course of the past four years we have been working diligently to put the facility that powers the PAWS mission, Accurate Sports Complex, in place.  While we now have an amazing place ready for our community to use, like many others, especially Non Profits, we have faced various obstacles. Many of these stem from the pandemic, and they include significantly higher costs in products, services, utilities, etc. Since the pandemic, we have also seen a rapid decline in our donation base. PAWS is fully reliant on donors and sponsorships, along with volunteers, to keep our doors open and to continue to serve this amazing community.

This past winter was our first full official season, and it was BUSY! We had many athletes utilize the facility either as members, as part of a team, or took private lessons from a coach onsite, etc.  We are beyond grateful for the support of everyone this past winter!  Now that we are in summer mode, we need your help to get us through our first official off-season. Even with an amazing winter, there are many costs at our sports complex that we need support with including our rent, utilities and equipment, etc., for our 20,000+ square foot facility which powers PAWS. We just announced really exciting news, which we believe will have a great impact on the youth within our city, but without the corporate sponsorship we anticipated to date, we are strictly relying on donations and various small fundraisers to keep us afloat.  We are putting things in place for the upcoming year's fall/winter months, and for years to come, which will help carry us through the off-season (Summer).  This year, however, we need YOUR help to get us through the summer months. 

Every dollar helps and if you can't donate at this time, please help us by posting to your page and sharing with your friends and family.  The money we raise will be applied toward our monthly rent (May-September) our current and past due utility bills (those electric bills hit us pretty hard during the season), as well as the various facility, programs' and even our rescue dogs’ (PAWS dogs) expenses.   We can't do this without your help.  We appreciate your support more than ever, and look forward to doing amazing things to help build a stronger community through sports!
