Paws of Promise: Aid for Pets with Disabilities
Donation protected
I never thought in a million years I would open a foundation for animals with disabilities and to give back to my community until it happened to my own.
My dog Titan was diagnosed with osteoarthritis, which is a degenerative joint disease caused by the primary breakdown of cartilage in the joints.
Upon him having this debilitating condition, he had to undergo surgery and get his back leg amputated. With learning a lot within this horrific diagnosis, these animals are like our kids. You never want to see anything happen to them.
After going through this process with my own dog, my goal was to open my own my own non profit and in fact, I did just that; Paws Of Promise.
- This is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created in partnership with the veterinarian offices in the area to help pet owners afford emergency medical treatment for animals with emergency surgeries to help give back and pay a portion of the cost.
- The non-profit provides small grants to pets in qualifying situations—either as Good Samaritan cases or when an owner faces severe financial hardship and can’t get approved for funding or credit cards.
“Compassionate hearts and generous hands create a future where no animal is left behind due to a disability or a financial hardship.”
