Hi, my name is Dawn and my dear friend, Kara, who is more like a sister to me, was diagnosed in December with aggressive breast cancer that has already invaded her lymph nodes. She just began her first round of chemo and is looking at a two-stage mastectomy with radiation to follow. Despite this devastating news, Kara remains optimistic and smiles in the face of adversity. However, the financial responsibility of this medical treatment is overwhelming as Kara is burdened with paying her $8,600 2021 deductible as well as being responsible for said deductible in 2022 as well.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help ease her financial burden.
