Paw surgery for the kitten Kelis
Donation protected
Our beloved pet and family member, Kelis, suffered a fall from a third story window and broke 7 bones in total in both of her front paws.
Kelis is an 18 months old adventurous kitten and is our grandmother’s very best friend.
The injury seemed serious and we were prepared to say farewell to this little bundle of joy. However, moments before Kelis’ goodbye our grandma put her foot down and decided that Kelis should live. After all Kelis is just a young kitten who will surely recover and have a long happy life. Kelis is a family member and our grandma has loved and cared for the kitten as she would any of us. To quote the lady herself “it's only money”.
But it's still money and no small amount for an elderly lady. We all pitch in, however some assistance is needed if only to bring some peace of mind to this lovely protector of the voiceless, for whom both the care and the cost is a long term commitment.
The sad reality is that the high price of veterinary care and surgery can be just out of reach for many of us. On the other hand, the good news is that people successfully raise money for pet surgery. Which is why we as a family are reaching out for help in this unfortunate situation.
The medical bill for Kelis, before insurance, is 75.279 SEK. Together as a family we have been able to raise 10.321 SEK and luckily the insurance covers some of the cost! Which is why our goal is to reach 22.088 SEK to cover all medical and transport expenses.
Thank you for taking time to read this. We are enormously grateful for any contribution, big or small.
