Busy streets, stressful jobs, lunch dates, complicated relationships, exploring a new city, mundane daily tasks, memories on repeat in your head. What if you could see into the minds and lives of the people around you? In IDA's first collaborative, evening-length production, we will take a moment to Pause and do just that. Everyone has a unique story that can change on a daily basis. Join us as we dissect a second in time and allow our stories to be shared.
The funds we raise will help cover the costs of the show. This includes theatre rental, props, costumes, printed materials, and tech crew. But most importantly, extra money raised from this campaign and ticket sales will go towards artist stipends. We believe that artists derserve to be compensated for their time and talent and with your help, they can be!
Pause will premiere at Cleo Parker Robinson Theater on March 23 and 24, 2018 at 8pm. It will showcase IDA company members, guest performers, and local companies including The Schiff Dance Collective and Rogue Co. Dance Company. Also features guest choreographers from across the nation including Aundrea Anderson, Helen Estrella, Meghan Lawitz, and more!
IDA is a company created by dancers, for dancers, and our vision is to create an alliance that fosters a supportive community instead of a competitive one. We are a collaboration of dancers and choreographers from multiple backgrounds and styles, working together to showcase Colorado’s talent in a professional and challenging arena. Our State is rich with talented and passionate artists that have powerful stories to share. We created IDA for these artists to have a platform to share their voice.
We believe our industry flourishes through versatility, respect, and artistry and only when all parts are working in harmony, does this machine thrive as a whole. We are here to bring together the separate parts while enriching the Colorado dance scene. Through the power of dance, we share our voice, our story, and our alliance with audiences across the state and work to place Denver at the forefront of our industry.
