Pauls Last Day

Hello, my name is Charley Zakrzewski and my husband Paul passed away Sunday 24th March 2019.

Paul had Becker Muscular Dystrophy. He has suffered the last 2 years with respiratory failure and unexpectedly we lost him this week. He was wheelchair bound (like myself) and we shared 24/7 waking care. He was 39 when he passed (29/08/1979).  

He had a difficult life at times but a happy one and he adored his family and friends, especially, our 9 guinea pigs and doggy son Ernie. Our family is unique but wonderful. We have the most amazing memories and a love that there are no words to explain. 

Paul is the kind of person that would help anyone and give you his last £ to make you happy or help those less fortunate. He has done a lot of voluntary work over his life. He loved it when people talked to him and he was able to give them advice and emotional support. He overcame a lot of obstacles and lived his life as best he could. 

After researching and pulling together all the family money we still need another £2000 to cover the costs. 

We need your help to give the love of my life a special farewell. We have found a nice package that suits his personality, simple but elegant.

He is a special soul who touched many lives. He is so well loved that we are having to hire a hall for his wake (which I have named his party) because so many are attending. 

We as a family would be beyond grateful if you could share this page and/or spare a few £’s to help us. 

I was in hospital and gravely ill myself this yeah with several infections and then sepsis. So it has been a terrible year for our family. 

Anything you can do would be so appreciated. Please know we are grateful and Paul would be overjoyed at how his community can band together and give him the best send off.
