Paul's funeral costs and medical bills
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Brandi and I am raising funds for my mom to bury my dad, as well as pay the mountain of medical bills that are going to be headed her way soon.
Here is a semi description of the last few months from my mom. Unfortunately we lost him last night.
"The past three months have been by far the most difficult time in my life. For those that know me, we have been through some really tough times. I will testify that if I didn't know that Jesus Christ, God's only Son who was born to bare our burdens, lived and died for me and for you, then I could not have faced the extensive trials that my family and I have been dealing with since January. Jesus knew what we were going to experience and how hard it would be from day to day. To watch as Paul went from a hard working and mostly healthy man lose every ounce of strength in his body and watch him get weaker every day without a diagnosis of what was destroying his body was almost impossible to bare. Once we finally had at least part of the diagnosis, a plan was made to try to save his life. Two days later a second diagnosis also came in and made it all much more complicated, but the plan stayed the same because it was the only chance he had of survival. Surgery was set for the following Tuesday and every attempt to try to strengthen his body pre-op was done but he was just so weak that by Sunday morning it was a try now with Surgery of let him pass on to be with Christ. There was a less than 5 percent chance of survival. By the grace of God and his Holy Angels, and with an amazing and blessed surgical team, he survived praise the Lord! Three days later his mother passed from this world to be with Christ, her husband and so many other family and friends that had gone before. During that time, Paul was passing between Earth and Paradise. We made the arrangements for his mother's funeral and we had a lovely graveside service with friends and family. Paul of course was still too weak to go. Paul also started Chemo treatments for the cancer and for a very rare condition called HLH. This secondary HLH is extremely difficult to diagnose and is almost always fatal especially when accompanied by cancer. Paul is (was) a living, breathing miracle and we have been richly blessed by God, the incredible doctors, nurses and staff members that have attended him."
Paul was the Box Office manager at the afine Arts Center at BYU and was an amazing boss and teacher to hundreds of students. He then moved on to run the Covey Center for Performing Arts. He hosted so many artists and loved watching them perform.
Any of you that know my dad, please leave a memory (or 2) of him for me to put in a book for my family to enjoy until we meet again. He was the heart and soul of our family.
