Jody here -- asking for everyone to donate, help out, and SHARE this fundraiser! Because we did it! Paul got into a clinical trial at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN! We all helped Paul and Marcy wade through a very tough 8 months of uncertainty, illness, stress, tears, laughter, and of course Michigan's winter. But now we need to kick it up a notch and help get them back and forth to this clinical trial.

From Marcy: Paul is onto the next phase in his cancer treatment for his Glioblastoma. This disease has no cure, but Paul was able to get into a clinical trial at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. This is an immunotherapy trial which showed amazing potential for the phase 1 participants. This trial has the potential to increase Paul’s life expectancy 3x from the original 18 month prognosis.

We will have to travel to the Mayo Clinic from Michigan for Paul to have a second craniotomy (May 12), stay for the recovery, and then travel to Rochester every 6 weeks for treatment for the next two years. The treatment has rough potential side effects which could include swelling of his brain, seizures, auto immune disorders, etc. Because of this, they recommend we go together each time for Paul’s treatment.

Funds from this Go Fund Me will go towards travel expenses, and to help us when we have to take FMLA after PTO runs out. While the treatment and travel burdens are intense, we are committed to fighting for the most time we can get together while Paul has a good quality of life.
